Strategy

Investment thesis

WolfHaven is a nonprofit animal sanctuary headquartered in Dallas, Texas, building a national network of sixteen regional sanctuaries, anchored by its Dallas flagship, that will rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong care for vulnerable and at-risk animals. Its mission pairs direct rescue and rehabilitation with lifelong sanctuary care, education, research, advocacy, and habitat stewardship to advance wildlife conservation and the ethical treatment of animals. Sponsored by Slate Blue Capital as a planned philanthropic commitment, WolfHaven reflects the firm's intent toward durable, accountable stewardship beyond commercial returns. The work is treated as a permanent commitment rather than a campaign, with support directed toward sanctuary development, partnerships, and conservation programs that build lasting public support for wildlife.

Funding

Funding status

WolfHaven does not currently have dedicated capital committed to it. The sanctuary network is a planned philanthropic commitment of Slate Blue Capital, and a dedicated funding vehicle has not yet been established. Sanctuary development, rescue and rehabilitation, lifelong care, education, research, and conservation partnerships will be funded once a permanent structure is in place.

The intent is to fund WolfHaven with the same long-horizon thinking the firm applies to capital: patient, measured, and accountable, sustained year over year rather than tied to a single campaign. The funding vehicle, governance, and capital source will be announced when finalized.

Stewardship is not a campaign. It is a standing commitment to the things worth protecting, sustained with the same patience we bring to capital.
